Your whole AUTHENTIC self is welcome!
Our Power Lies Within Us
The Collective is home to over 900 nonprofit leaders who represent different paths that individuals might take in the nonprofit sector - from entry-level professionals to mid- and senior-level professionals, and nonprofit consultants. As professionals find their way into the nonprofit space, wage disparities and challenges within BIPOC-led organizations, prompt nonprofit professionals to turn to consulting as a way to work outside the constraints of the traditional system and sustain their livelihoods. We recognize and support the full spectrum of the experiences of our members; this is what makes us unique. We don’t trade comfort for credibility; this is part of our vibe. The upcoming section showcases a range of voices that our members bring, illustrating a level of fluidity and understanding of their entire journeys that is rarely found in other groups.
We are a dynamic community with a shared vision for a social sector that supports and sometimes challenges one another to show up authentically for ourselves and the communities we serve.

What is a Person of Color?
Borrowing from language from the Facebook group NPOCunicorns - People of Color Nonprofit Professionals, we define People of Color as: "Black/African-American/African descent/African, Latin/Latina/Latino/Latinx, First Nations/Native American/Indigenous, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander, Asian, Southwest Asian, North African/Arab, Middle Eastern, South Asian, and Mixed-Race/Mixed-Ethnicity peoples.
"We appreciate allies, advocates, and accomplices for justice." If you do not identify as a person of color, we ask you to serve as an ally, advocate, and accomplice in other ways.
