Everything We Need Is In The Room

The Nonprofit Professionals of Color Collective started as an idea to support our community in their pursuit of the C-Suite. The pilot, in 2019, was birthed out of that desire due to the findings in the Race to Lead report and yet, what The Collective has morphed into is so much more. We are the premiere training ground for professionals of color in the nonprofit field.

The Collective is a comprehensive professional development program focused on supporting members beyond traditional technical assistance and capacity building. Officially formed in 2020, we affirm nonprofit leaders, no matter their experience, can benefit from a multi-pronged approach to professional development. We also affirm that leaders of color are rich with knowledge and will benefit from a nurturing and stimulating support network. Professionals of color are not responsible for institutional racism, yet it disproportionately negatively impacts  careers of POC.

Mission

“Our mission is to accelerate and enhance the professional development, information access and opportunities for nonprofit professionals of color through intentional, curated experiences.”

Our Vision

“We envision a network of equity-driven leaders of color, supported in deepening their equity analysis and leadership skills as agents of change in the nonprofit sector and through the executive pipeline.”
